BCHS teacher nominated for Edwin Parr Award

April 23rd, 2018

Pembina Hills Public Schools is proud to nominate Christina Frose, a teacher at Barrhead Composite High School, for the 2018 Alberta School Boards Association’s Edwin Parr Teaching Award. The ASBA presents this award to six outstanding first-year teachers each year.

Christina supports students at every level, engaging them in her classroom and building upon student ideas to explore different thoughts and concepts. Soft spoken and quiet, students respect Christina. She connects with students, working to build strong relationships and determine where they may need further instruction or guidance.

As a first year teacher, she has been involved in many professional development activities, including division based PD, new teacher orientation, and the ATA sponsored new teacher convention. Christina also participates in professional learning opportunities with her colleagues by learning from and contributing to discussions within the school. In addition, Christina is very involved in community activities such as coaching at the school and in the community.

We congratulate Christina on being nominated for this prestigious award!
