93% of respondents satisfied with overall quality of education in PHPS
This report summarizes what we heard when we asked students, parents and staff about Pembina Hills Public Schools. The school division surveys students in Grades 4 to 12, parents, and division staff each year. Schools and the division consider this feedback as they develop their annual education plan.

School board selects consultant for superintendent recruitment
Seven proposals came in from recruitment consultants. The school board has chosen to work with Alberta School Board Association (ASBA) consultant Jim Gibbons to provide consulting services for the recruitment and hiring of a new superintendent.

2017 trustee elections – be a leader in your community
The school board reviewed resources provided by ASBA to promote the October 16, 2017 trustee elections and the important role trustees have as leaders in our communities. Read or download the ASBA trustee election resources.

Promoting trustee elections is a priority of the school board. Trustees are producing a video about the division and the work of the board. They are also in the process of developing a PHPS trustee handbook. Stay tuned to the division website.

Minister approves transfer of former W.R. Frose school grounds to local community group
The school board has received approval from the Minister of Education to transfer the grounds around former W.R. Frose School to the PACO Agricultural Society. The next step in the process will be the preparation and registration of the land transfer documents.

The next board meeting is Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at Regional Office in Barrhead starting at 9:30 a.m. Our meetings are open to the public.
