Citizenship Award Winner—Cheyanne Schole

May 14th, 2020

Cheyanne Schole is a Grade 6 student at Dunstable School. She was nominated for the Citizenship Award by Principal Tammy Tkachuk .

As a member of the school’s Student Leadership Group’s executive, Cheyanne demonstrates responsibility by representing others, planning dress up days, and organizing activities. She performs these duties to the best of her abilities and she always completes the tasks she is assigned. She is equally responsible when it comes to her own school work. She will put in extra time or go the extra mile to make sure her work is done in a timely and thorough manner.

Cheyanne helps and supports others, especially when it comes to working with the younger students. If she notices a younger student in need of help during Bear House activities, she will step in and lend a hand without being asked. She is also a fantastic buddy who works well with any of the kindergarten students, helping them to get ready for recess. She is always willing to lend a hand around the school.

Cheyanne is a hard working student who sets goals for herself and does her best to achieve them. In class, she knows what she wants to accomplish and she works hard to get there. Tkachuk says, “During this time of COVID-19, she continues to work towards her goals. Her weekly assignments are always completed thoroughly.”

The school board is pleased to present Cheyanne with the Citizenship Award for recognition of the positive contributions she makes in her school and community. Congratulations!
