Laura Parenteau receives the Exemplary Support Services Award

Laura Parenteau is a Program Assistant in the W-PREP Early Learning program located in Westlock Elementary School. Laura has been with Pembina Hills for 8 years.

Laura works with all children in the W-PREP classroom. She is always looking for ways to engage and motivate each and every one of the students in a fun and meaningful way. Very calm and caring, she is able to support students so that they can be successful.  Laura is a huge advocate for Early Learning and truly understands the importance of making connections with young learners.

Laura lives by the motto “Today is a good day to have a good day!” She shows up each day with a positive attitude no matter what challenges the day holds. She always has a smile on her face, has a wonderful sense of humor and loves to have fun with both the staff and the children. She can light up a room and her positive attitude is infectious to those around her.

Laura is a role model for both Program Assistants and Teachers. She treats both staff and students in an extremely fair and caring way. Her positive attitude and hard work ethic are second to none.

Laura is extremely valued and respected by her colleagues. She builds connections with both students and staff and is willing to take on any role that is asked of her. Her positive attitude and love for what she does helps make W-PREP a great place to be!!
