Melissa engages all of her students through a variety of activities that allow them to reach their full potential. She is always seeking new and creative ways to engage all learners. Her students are always eager to share their learning, a true testament to the creative and engaging atmosphere that she creates. Her influence stretches far beyond the walls of her classroom. She is always willing to go above and beyond to help her colleagues. She is engaged in numerous extra-curricular activities such as basketball, school council, track and field and a multitude of professional development opportunities.

She is the definition of a team player and is always doing whatever necessary to build positive relationships with her students and school community. Dunstable School is far better because of her influence. Melissa is more than deserving of this award.
