Citizenship Award Winner—Amy Tschetter

June 23rd, 2021

Amy Tschetter is a Grade 9 student at Pibroch Colony School. She was nominated for the Citizenship Award by Program Assistant Christa Seatter.

Amy demonstrates responsibility by always being prepared for school. She has her materials with her and is ready to learn. As one of the older students in the school, she is often called upon to help her teachers and younger school mates with a task. Seatter says, “Whether it’s supervising school chores or helping the younger students read, we know with Amy any job will be done well.”

Amy helps and supports others by listening to her younger school mates read. She helps them sound out unfamiliar words and is always encouraging them to do their best.

Amy is dependable and can be trusted with many responsibilities and requests. Her kindness shows greatly when she asks her friends and teachers if there’s something they need help with. When she does her chores, she can be trusted to start quickly, and help the other students along to make sure all jobs are done efficiently.

The school board is pleased to present Amy with the Citizenship Award for recognition of the positive contributions she makes in her school and community. Congratulations!
