Citizenship Award Winner—Caitlin R.

August 23rd, 2021

Caitlin R. is a Grade 10 student at Vista Virtual School. She was nominated for the Citizenship Award by family friend Penny Creswell.

Caitlin demonstrates responsibility by taking care of herself and those around her. She does her chores at home independently, does her own laundry, helps take care of her pets, and is capable of cooking her own meals. She also managed to get herself a job at a local business.

Caitlin is always trying to stay positive. An example of this is when she struggles to learn how to do something, she perseveres and stays positive to the end. Caitlin is friendly, cheery, and displays kindness to others. She listens to others openly; when someone’s having a bad day, she is the one to talk to them about what’s going on and then try to cheer them up.

Caitlin always works toward her goals, including her goal to become a diagnostic medical sonographer. She always has the courage to do what’s right. She is an avid-rule follower, and even when she makes mistakes she will stand up and take responsibility. Caitlin is dependable and her friends can go to her for support, whether it’s for advice, to help get something done, make a decision, resolve a conflict,or just to talk.

The school board is pleased to present Caitlin with the Citizenship Award for recognition of the positive contributions she makes in her school and community. Congratulations!
