Citizenship Award Winner — Charlie L’Heureux

As the president of the Dunstable School Student Committee, Charlie shows exceptional leadership skills, being responsible for guiding meetings, listening to peers and asking insightful questions. He demonstrates a proactive approach in both his academic and extracurricular responsibilities, showcasing his commitment to excellence. He actively seeks personal and academic growth, acknowledging and learning from his mistakes, contributing to his continuous development as a student and an individual.

Charlie’s helpful nature is evident in his readiness to assist classmates and staff throughout the year. He has actively participated in school events like the Christmas Concert and Spring Tea gatherings and helps maintain a clean playground. As a Kinder buddy, Charlie forms meaningful connections with younger students, guiding them and engaging with them in numerous activities. He is often one of the first students to greet others in the morning, often asking how they are doing. 

Charlie’s charisma and team spirit are infectious. He has been recognized with awards for his exceptional team spirit that infuses any group he joins with enthusiasm. His warm demeanour, positivity and can-do attitude make him approachable and inspiring to others. 

Charlie is a role model in the Dunstable community. His leadership, enthusiasm, and commitment to helping others are prime examples of exceptional citizenship skills.  

The school board is pleased to present Charlie with the Citizenship Award in recognition of the positive contributions he makes in his school and community.
