Citizenship Award Winner—Griffin Snow

June 8th, 2020

Griffin Snow is a Grade 5 student at Busby School. He was nominated for the Citizenship Award by Teacher Jim Schaffer.

Griffin helps and supports others by always being the first one to volunteer for any task.  He is quick to raise his hand or offer suggestions to make the school or classroom neater or run more efficiently.  He helps organize the gym storage room, cleans up items on the playground and serve breakfast to the other students. Griffin displays kindness to others; he is always positive and boosts other’s confidence. He is kind to all students, ensuring everyone is included during class and at recess.

Griffin has a positive attitude, cheery demeanor and approachability that makes him a role model in class. He has the courage to do what is right, by walking away or asking for help when a situation is difficult. He also shows concern for others at his school, always looking for ways he can lend a helping hand. He is quick to help our Principal put away the audio visual equipment and notices when the pencils need to be sharpened. All his tasks are performed with a smile and a positive attitude.

The school board is pleased to present Griffin with the Citizenship Award for recognition of the positive contributions he makes in his school and community. Congratulations!
