Citizenship Award Winner—Justin O’Keefe

December 15th, 2021

Justin O’Keefe is a Grade 9 student at Swan Hills School. He was nominated for the Citizenship Award by volleyball and basketball coach Josh Davies.

Justin demonstrates responsibility by making a conscious effort to complete all assignments, being on time and ready for his classes. He always makes an effort to be on time for volleyball practices and games.

He helps and supports others, both in and out of the classroom. If someone needs help in class, he is also willing to lend a helping hand. Justin is always willing to help his fellow teammates in practice when they need assistance, or when they don’t know how to complete a certain drill. Davies says, “Justin is always willing and happy to provide me with assistance when I am coaching.”

Justin also demonstrates how he works towards his goals. Always showing up for volleyball and basketball practice and games, he tries his best every time. In class, he wants to get the best grades he can, so he pays attention and takes notes diligently.

Justin displays kindness to others and always makes an effort to say hello to people in the hallway. He always abides by the rules of the school and encourages others to do so as well. He shows great respect when travelling with his school teams and is an excellent ambassador of Swan Hills School.

The school board is pleased to present Justin with the Citizenship Award for recognition of the positive contributions he makes in his school and community. Congratulations!
