Maddy is a superb athlete and although she could dominate any sport she wants, she is also and excellent teammate and wants her fellow teammates to improve with her. She helps and supports others, even during losses Maddy is the first to high-five her teammates and show lots of encouragement. But Maddy was sure to share the ball with everyone and allow her teammates to take shots and make passes.

Maddy seems to be involved in everything and works towards her goals. She plays the violin and loves to do all kinds of art. She is always practicing her drawing skills. She works hard on all her studies and will do extra math practice in her spare time, or grab a book when she is bored.. And Maddy loves to play sports. Her work ethic really shows in her athletic skills, she is an incredible volleyball player, excellent on the soccer pitch, and has sweet dangles on the basketball court. One other club Maddy is involved in is 4H. She and her family started an active living group where participants can hike, work out, and experience different physical activities. Know how committed Maddy is to fitness this is perfect for her.

Maddy is the most honest person in the world. Maddy is super competitive and always likes to be the best or first or win. She is super respectful of others and always has positive things to say. Her classmates and teammates always feel welcome and good about their performances. Maddy is always smiling and enjoying herself during activities. This positive attitude makes her approachable and she is always willing to help out or give advice. She ensures everyone is included and/or on-task during different activities. Although she isn’t the loudest person in the class, people listen when she talks.

The school board is pleased to present Madelyn with the Citizenship Award for recognition of the positive contributions she makes in her school and community. Congratulations!
