May 28th, 2024

Nola is described as a student who embodies kindness, dedication and dependability. She happily greets her teachers each morning and extends kindness and respect to all of her peers and teachers. She supports both her peers and teachers in many ways,  from staying after school and score-keeping junior high basketball games to designing festive activities for younger students to helping elementary students with crafts or activities during recess.

She is dependable, showing up to all of the clubs or activities she has agreed to take part in and lets others know when she will be away. Teachers rely on Nola with confidence, knowing that any task entrusted to her will be completed.

Nola’s commitment to her personal growth is evident when she challenges herself to learn new skills. Her dedication to learning is clear with the time and effort she puts into learning, both at school and at home, and  when faced with challenges, her perseverance underscores her resiliency and determination to achieve her goals. She is diligent and responsible with her school work, ensuring she catches up on any classwork she misses and connects with her teachers about the work she is required to do.

The school board is pleased to present Nola with the Citizenship Award in recognition of the positive contributions she makes in her school and community.

Congratulations Nola!
