Sophia is a student who embodies kindness, positivity and compassion, setting a remarkable standard for leadership and responsibility within our school and community. Her innate leadership abilities, coupled with a deep sense of duty, make her an exceptional student whose influence extends far beyond the classroom walls. 

Sophia is always smiling and enthusiastic and her presence brings light and warmth to the school environment. She has genuine concern for the well-being of others often checking in on others, offering kind words, gentle care or a hug to brighten their day. She is a great listener and her ability to build others up, offer encouragement and calmly talk to and support others in helping them see the bright side of a situation shows great maturity.

Sophia has been a consistent, faithful helper in the school concession as she enjoys coming in to restock all of the items, organize the sales bins, the fridge and the freezer and help eliminate the waste and recycling from all of the packaging of the items. She often gives up her lunch recess time to do these tasks so that the concession stand can function smoothly and efficiently. She always takes these tasks on with joy and enthusiasm as it is in her nature to help and contribute whenever possible.

The school board is pleased to present Sophia with the Citizenship Award in recognition of the positive contributions she makes in her school and community.
