Citizenship Award Winner—Willow Feduniak

Willow Feduniak is a Grade 4 student at Swan Hills School. She was nominated for the Citizenship Award by Program Assistant Jennifer Stenberg.

In her nomination, Stenberg says that Willow demonstrates responsibility for her actions and takes care of her school textbooks and supplies. She takes her responsibilities seriously and always makes sure to finish her work or classroom duties. She also helps and supports others, is always the first to help a friend in need or a staff member. Willow always has a positive attitude whether she is first-or-last or wins-or-loses; she always displays good sportsmanship and understanding. She is sensitive to her fellow students’ needs and genuinely cares about their well being. She is respectful and has a great sense of humor.

Willow displays kindness to others and genuinely cares about people. Before you can even ask for help she is the first one there offering it.  She is a great team player and gives 110 percent each and every time. She works towards her goals and takes on any role needed to be successful. Willow is dependable — always doing what she says she will. 

Willow is always sensitive to the needs of others around her. She listens to others and her calm and easy going personality makes it simple for her friends to open up and talk with her. She is honest and trustworthy, always makes good choices and is a role model to fellow students. Willow stands up for those that cannot stand up for themselves. She has the courage to do what is right and would not allow anyone to be treated unfairly. 

Her nominator said, “Willow is one of the most caring students we have in the Swan Hills School. She shows concern for others, and truly cares about her fellow students’ feelings and their well being. She always asks how my day or weekend was and always says have a great day or afternoon before I leave for the day.”

The school board is pleased to present Willow with the Citizenship Award for recognition of the positive contributions she makes in her school and community. Congratulations!
