Jamie Baker receives the Exemplary Support Services Award

Jamie Baker is a Program Assistant at Fort Assiniboine School and has been with Pembina Hills for over 3 years.

As a program assistant Jamie is constantly helping others, she never sits down, and is always there to help. She goes the extra mile in making sure that she is building positive relationships with all students and staff in the building, even students who she does not directly care for. Jamie also helps out with athletics and coaching.

This year Jamie was trusted with some unique tasks and she clearly demonstrated that she is flexible and eager to do what is best for students. She is constantly encouraging students to improve their thinking by providing positive coaching. She builds relationships with students and demonstrates enthusiasm for learning new things. Students feed off of Jamie’s excitement for learning.

Parents, students, and staff never hesitate to approach Jamie. She is kind and caring and is quick to point out the positives in students’ work. No matter how bad a day someone is having, Jamie can bring a smile to their face and is a joy to be around. In and outside of the school she is a leader in the community.

She is always willing to step up and help out no matter what the situation. She lifts up others with her positive attitude.

Each and every day Jamie goes above and beyond for students, parents, and staff.
