Keeping our schools safe

October 16th, 2017

At the October 11, 2017 board meeting, Director of Students Services Rob McGarva provided an overview of the Pembina River & Area Violence/Threat Risk Assessment (VTRA) Protocol and Annual Report. The protocol is a community commitment to maintain safe environments for children and youth. Through the partnership, training has been provided in threat assessment to professionals from Alberta Health Services, RCMP, Pembina Hills Public Schools, Evergreen Catholic Schools, Child and Family Services, and Family and Community Support Services.

Other items from the meeting include:

  • Trustee representation for ADLC and Vista Virtual
  • New school board to be sworn in October 25
