The new Pembina Hills Board of Trustees were sworn in to office at the October 27th organizational meeting. They also conducted their first order of business, electing Trustee Judy Lefebvre to serve as Board Chair and Trustee Victoria Kane as Vice Chair for the remainder of the 2021-2022 school year.

As Board Chair, Lefebvre will preside over all board meetings, as well as work with the superintendent to set the agenda for board meetings. She will also be the spokesperson for the school board. Vice Chair Kane will fill in when Lefebvre is not available.

Lefebvre says, “I haven’t sat in this chair before — the Chair — but I intend to sit in with integrity and openness. I’m very willing to listen to everybody, to collaborate and to not make any decisions that are just from here {pointing to her head}. That’s what we’ve always done and I’ve always found it very rewarding.”
