Launched in 2011, the No Stone Left Alone initiative aims to place a poppy on every headstone of every Canadian that lost their life in our country’s military efforts, ensuring national gratitude and respect for their sacrifice. The frigid temperatures last week did not stop some schools from holding their own NSLA ceremonies:
Dunstable School
Neerlandia Public Christian School
Grade 4 students at NPCS visited the Neerlandia Cemetary on November 7 where poppies and crosses were placed on the headstones of 11 veterans.
Pembina North Community School
Grade 9 PNCS students placed flags at the gravesites of 18 veterans at the Dapp Cemetary on November 9.
