Shirley has worked as an Educational Assistant at the Neerlandia Public Christian School for over 26 years, supporting students from kindergarten to junior high. 

She takes on many responsibilities and is very efficient at any task she takes on. She is described as an energizer bunny who loves to keep busy! She confidently, and caringly, works with students individually and as a class. Shirley is always willing to learn and apply new ideas and techniques.

Her cheerful manner and positive attitude are notable and appreciated by staff and students alike. She always goes above and beyond what she is asked to do. She strives to build relationships with staff and students. Kids are Shirley’s passion! She does everything she can to provide many opportunities for growth, learning, and relationships.

Her colleagues often comment on how efficient she is and she truly shows her love for the students. She encourages them to be the best they can be without pressuring them to feel they are not worthy. She reminds them that God created each of us individually with talents and abilities given by Him.

Shirley is always willing to chip in and help wherever the need is. She is reliable, faithful, and committed to excellence in everything she does. Her work ethic and commitment to the school is noticed on a daily basis by all of her colleagues.

For all the dedication and support Shirley has provided during her years with Neerlandia Public Christian School, she is a worthy candidate for an exemplary achievement award.
