Gerald consistently demonstrates strong responsibility, tackling tasks quickly and efficiently, and taking initiative without prompting. He helps teachers, supports peers, and ensures shared spaces run smoothly. His dependable nature and quiet leadership make him someone others can count on.

A natural helper, Gerald readily supports those around him with kindness. He guides classmates and helps manage group tasks dependably. His “big brother” nature provides comfort and positive influence, particularly evident in his quiet leadership, making him a trusted member of his school community.

Gerald’s natural leadership shines through his consistent willingness to step up and take action, whether helping staff, guiding peers, or taking on less desirable tasks. He approaches classmates who are struggling or in need of encouragement with patience and kindness, ensuring everyone feels included and respected. Despite her exceptionally busy schedule, which includes participation in numerous extracurricular activities both inside and outside of school, Ellia maintains outstanding attendance and strong academic performance.

Ellia is a highly responsible student who takes initiative in her learning. She consistently strives to complete her work to the best of her abilities, often taking incomplete assignments home even when not assigned as homework, and proactively asking questions to ensure thorough understanding. Dependable and reliable, Ellia can always be counted on to follow through with any task and offer unwavering support to her peers.

One of Ellia’s most admirable qualities is her profound kindness and compassion. Kasen Gardiner is a grade 12 student who has just graduated from Swan Hills School (SHS). Kasen’s proactive approach to his future, coupled with his community spirit, truly sets him apart. 

He demonstrates a strong sense of responsibility by actively pursuing his long-term goals. Throughout high school, he has gained valuable experience in the oil and gas industry, showcasing incredible foresight. As a student in the Registered Apprenticeship Program (RAP) with a local oil and gas company, he’s diligently working towards acquiring the 1500 hours needed to attend NAIT this September for his first year. This focused effort highlights his mature approach to his educational and career path.

Kasen consistently helps and supports others through significant volunteer work. Over the past five years, he’s dedicated his time to the local snow-goers club, contributing to the community by building bridges, clearing trails, and maintaining cabins. This selfless commitment to enhancing shared recreational spaces exemplifies his strong sense of community spirit.

Kasen’s clear vision for his future demonstrates an impressive ability to work towards goals. For several years, he’s known precisely where he wanted to go, ensuring he takes the correct courses and gains essential knowledge within the oil and gas industry. This focused determination is a testament to his ambition and drive. 

Throughout all of his interactions, Kasen is always pleasant, respectful and consistently follows school rules, embodying the positive values we champion. Josie knows what is right and works hard to focus on making good choices, even if sometimes other students around her do not.
