Citizenship Award Winner—Sarah Peden

Sarah Peden is a grade 12 student at Vista Virtual School and is described as an exemplary student who consistently demonstrates a strong work ethic, self-motivation, and a commitment to academic and personal growth.

Throughout her time in high school, Sarah has shown the discipline and drive necessary to excel in an independent, online learning environment. She manages her time effectively, stays ahead of deadlines, and consistently submits exceptional work. Her ability to focus, set clear goals, and take proactive steps to achieve them has been evident in both her academic achievements and extracurricular involvement. Whether she’s organizing her study schedule to improve her focus or practicing guitar every day, Sarah approaches every challenge with a determination that ensures her success.

Beyond her own accomplishments, Sarah has also made a positive impact on those around her. Her empathy and willingness to support others make her a valuable friend, family member, and community participant.
