Thanks to the exceptional work by the restoration crews working at the school, Early Learning to grade 3 students will return to the school on Tuesday, March 24.

Following significant windstorm damage and the temporary closure of Swan Hills School (SHS) on March 8, 2026, we are happy to share that SHS will partially reopen on Monday, March 23. Grades 4-12 and Early Learning students and staff will return to areas of the school that have been confirmed safe.

Kindergarten to grade 3 students are tentatively scheduled to return to the school after the Spring and Easter Break on Tuesday, April 7. Details have been shared directly with SHS families. 

Work is continuing to restore other parts of the building, and all necessary safety precautions remain in place.

We are incredibly grateful to our students, families, staff, Swan Hills community members and businesses for their patience, support, and flexibility during this time. Your understanding and collaboration have made it possible for learning to continue safely, and we thank you for helping our school community navigate this challenging situation.
