June 24th, 2026

The school board is pleased to present Liel, a Grade 9 student at Fort Assiniboine School with the Citizenship Award in recognition of the positive contributions she makes in her school and community.

Liel has been an active member of the school leadership group for the past three years and consistently demonstrates a strong sense of responsibility. She attends every meeting prepared and on time, bringing thoughtful ideas and a positive attitude. When planning school events, she carefully considers the purpose of each activity and the students involved, ensuring her contributions are meaningful and well thought out. Whether working independently or as part of a team, she completes every task with care and on time.

Liel is also a strong support to others. During multi-age “Bear House” activities, she naturally steps into a leadership role with younger students, making sure they are included, supported, and engaged. Her patience, kindness, and calm presence help create a welcoming and positive environment for all students, and she demonstrates the same care in her classroom interactions.

She is highly goal-oriented and committed to doing her best. Liel responds to feedback by improving her work and takes initiative to go beyond expectations, whether that means refining assignments, dedicating extra time to learning new skills, or preparing in advance for assessments.

Liel is also exceptionally dependable. She consistently follows through on her commitments, submits work on time, and communicates responsibly with teachers when needed. She can be trusted to take initiative and manage important responsibilities, including supporting school leadership activities and ensuring events run smoothly.

Through her responsibility, leadership, commitment to others, and dependability, Liel is an outstanding example of citizenship within her school community.

Congratulations Liel!
