Welcome to our new staff!

August 25th, 2026

Pembina Hills welcomed its newest staff members in August as they gathered for orientation ahead of the 2026-2027 school year. The orientation brought together new teachers, support staff and administrators for an introduction to all things Pembina Hills!

Sessions covered a range of topics to help new staff get started, including an introduction to the Division’s values, priorities and culture, inclusion and student services, Division policies and procedures, professional learning, employment supports, and the roles and responsibilities of teachers and support staff. Orientation also provided an opportunity to connect with school board trustees over lunch.

For new teachers, the orientation continued with sessions on teacher contracts and evaluation, payroll and benefits, and assessment and reporting practices.

While there was plenty of important information to take in, the orientation was also an opportunity to build connections and help new staff feel welcomed as they prepare to join their schools and communities.

We’re excited to welcome our newest team members to Pembina Hills and look forward to seeing them in our schools as the 2026-2027 school year gets underway.
