École Barrhead Elementary School’s Grade 2A class is celebrating yet another exciting achievement after receiving their provincial results from this year’s music festival season.

In March, the class was recommended for the provincial music festival following their performances of Lazy Little Hippo and The Wind at the Barrhead Rotary Music Festival. After recording and submitting their performances for adjudication at the provincial level, the students recently learned they received a score of 90 in the School Chorus Grades 1–3 category, from the Alberta Music Festival Association. The score placed them in the highest-scoring category, earning them a Superior certificate.

The accomplishment reflects the students’ hard work, enthusiasm, and dedication throughout the year. Their performances showcased not only their musical skills but also their confidence and teamwork as young performers.

Congratulations to Mrs. Anne-Marie Tyrell and her students on this outstanding achievement! The division is proud to celebrate their success at the 2026 Provincial Music Festival!
