Wednesday, June 25, 2025 — A Pembina Hills Westlock area bus was involved in an accident during the afternoon bus run on June 25, 2025. The bus was heading north of Westlock on highway 44 and was slowing down to turn left onto Township Road 604 when it was rear-ended by a semi-truck.

There were eight students on the bus at the time of the incident, and thankfully, none of them or the bus driver were physically injured. The semi-truck driver’s condition is not known to the division at this time.

A spare bus was dispatched to the scene to finish the route and take the students home.
