Ellia Young is a grade 6 student at Pembina North Community School (PNCS) and was nominated for a Citizenship Award by her teacher, Lauren Wylie.
Ellia’s outstanding character and unwavering commitment to excellence significantly enrich her school community. She consistently demonstrates a strong work ethic and a sincere dedication to her academic, personal, and interpersonal goals. Despite her exceptionally busy schedule, which includes participation in numerous extracurricular activities both inside and outside of school, Ellia maintains outstanding attendance and strong academic performance.
Ellia is a highly responsible student who takes initiative in her learning. She consistently strives to complete her work to the best of her abilities, often taking incomplete assignments home even when not assigned as homework, and proactively asking questions to ensure thorough understanding. Dependable and reliable, Ellia can always be counted on to follow through with any task and offer unwavering support to her peers.
One of Ellia’s most admirable qualities is her profound kindness and compassion. She readily offers a helping hand, provides genuine encouragement, and shows sincere concern for the well-being of others. During recess, Ellia can often be found assisting younger students who are upset or guiding them back into the school when the bell rings. Her positive attitude is truly contagious, fostering a welcoming and respectful classroom environment for everyone.
Ellia listens attentively to others, genuinely values diverse perspectives, and treats everyone with respect. She demonstrates honesty and consistently acts with integrity in various situations, both within and beyond the walls of PNCS. Her strong moral compass and leadership by example make her an exemplary role model for her peers.
