ADLC says farewell with virtual event

After 98 years of service to teachers and students throughout the province, ADLC closed their doors on June 25th, 2021. A virtual farewell event was held on Wednesday, June 23rd via Zoom. 

Associate Principal Loya De Clercq MC’d the event which featured a video of ADLC’s history and messages from:

  • Principal Steven Kaplan
  • Associate Principal Jake Warkentin
  • Retired Assistant Superintendent Cam Oulton
  • And others, including former staff and students 

The website www.adlcmemories.ca was also created by a volunteer committee to preserve the memory of the Alberta Distance Learning Centre (ADLC) and celebrate its long history. Members of the public are welcome to visit the site, or to share a picture or a thought about how ADLC has impacted their distance learning.
