BJ has worked as an Educational Assistant supporting students at Barrhead Composite High School for over 27 years and as of the 2023-24 school year, has also taken on the role of School Admin Support.

Her new role in the BCHS office has evolved as the year has progressed and through constant changes and day-to-day needs, BJ continually adapts and supports in any way she can. Her experience with students and the relationships she has built over the years has allowed her to become a constant and dependable figure throughout the school. Her attitude and work ethic exemplify her professionalism and how student-centered she is. With her positivity, creativity, kindness, humour and willingness to jump in, from organizing student activities to communication or student tasks, and everything in between, BJ has been a great addition to the office support group. 

BJ is always learning and improving her knowledge base. She takes suggestions from the new support services in the school and different perspectives and quickly identifies how it fits with her style and experiences. She is a great coach for students and in mentoring others. Staff know they can count on her help with her ability to problem solve, engage students and work through a wide variety of situations.
