Board selects Stefanie Morel as their 2023 Edwin Parr Teacher Award Nominee

The Pembina Hills Board of Trustees was proud to nominate Stefanie Morel as the division’s nominee for this year’s Edwin Parr Teacher Award – an award for outstanding first-year teachers

Stefanie joined R.F. Staples Secondary School in May of 2022 teaching Junior High Science and continued in the 2022-23 school year taking on senior high sciences. R.F. Staples Principal Darcy Kirkham describes Stefanie as a teacher who is incredibly committed to her profession, one who fosters positive relationships with students and has a way of engaging students with hands-on learning opportunities. She is dedicated to professional learning and growth, continuously reflecting on her strategies and tweaking her instruction. 

We congratulate Stefanie Morel on being nominated for this prestigious award!

School Boards in Alberta are eligible to nominate one Kindergarten to Grade 12, first-year, teacher each year for an Edwin Parr Teacher Award through the Alberta School Board Association. This award recognizes a total of six outstanding first-year teachers.
