The Pembina Hills Board of Trustees visited the Sunny Bend Colony, Pibroch Colony Schools and the Pembina North Community School on Wednesday, May 10.

Principal Prakash Raju provided the Board and Superintendent Michael Borgfjord with information regarding the schools’ multiple-grade programming and some of each school’s unique cultural aspects. The Trustees also had the opportunity to hear students at each school sing songs in both English and German.

Pembina North Community School
In the afternoon, the Board visited the Pembina North Community School in Dapp. The Board met with Principal Daryl Chattargoon who provided a presentation highlighting student activities, achievements, fundraising events, sports and everything in between that has taken place this year. The Board also met with five of the school’s Junior High students to discuss their views on a variety of school topics and afterward, enjoyed a tour of the school.
