Board visits Dunstable, Busby and Clyde Schools

The Pembina Hills Board of Trustees went on one last trip of school visits for the 2022-23 year on Wednesday, June 14, beginning at Dunstable School.

Dunstable School

Principal Dale Erickson provided the trustees and Superintendent Michael Borgfjord with an overview of the school and a tour of the classrooms where the trustees chatted with students.

Busby School

The Board then travelled to Busby School where they met with Principal Angie Bachand who highlighted the school’s strengths in relationships with kids, the staff and the community as well as some challenges with rural bussing. Bachand toured the trustees around the school, showcasing some of the renovations that have taken place, including the new gymnasium. The Board also sat down with grade 3 and 4 students who had the opportunity to have a dialogue with the trustees, asking questions and discussing their ideas and opinions about school.

Eleanor Hall School

Lastly, the Board visited Eleanor Hall School in Clyde in the afternoon. Principal Nadine Marchand outlined how this school year has gone, noting the use of the division’s mental supports this year as well as praising the passionate and dedicated staff at the school.
