Citizenship Award Winner—Ash Smith

Ash Smith is a grade 12 student at Barrhead Composite High School. She was nominated for a Citizenship Award by Success Coach Kara Rinas. 

Ash is described as a truly exceptional student. Her nomination speaks volumes about her character, her commitment to her school community, and her genuine care for others.

Her kindness creates a welcoming and supportive atmosphere for all students, fostering a sense of belonging that strengthens her school community. Ash’s deep dedication to extracurricular activities showcases her passion, collaborative spirit, and emerging leadership skills. Her reliability and strong sense of responsibility make her a role model for their peers, someone they naturally look to for guidance and support.

Driven by a powerful commitment to social justice, Ash uses her voice and actions to champion fairness, equity, and inclusion within our schools. Her active participation in school clubs underscores their proactive approach to making our school and community a better place for everyone.

With a truly kind and compassionate heart, Ash embodies the spirit of helping others. She is known for her willingness to assist anyone in need, always seeking the best way to offer support. Ash’s genuine care extends to all members of her school community, and she consistently steps up to lend a hand wherever necessary. This caring nature also extends to her personal life, as a fierce advocate for her siblings and those she holds dear, thoughtfully supporting her younger siblings within the school.
