Citizenship Award Winner—Avery Olson

Avery Olson is a grade 6 student at Pembina North Community School (PNCS). She was nominated for a Citizenship Award by her teacher, Lauren Wylie. 

Avery consistently demonstrates the qualities that enrich her school community, making it a kinder, more positive, and stronger place each day. She is a deeply responsible and dedicated student who approaches her learning with diligence. She takes her education seriously and tackles challenges with a determined and growth-oriented mindset. Her exceptional work on the science fair project exemplifies her ability to set goals and work steadily towards them.

Known for her warm and kind nature, Avery consistently displays a positive attitude and treats everyone with respect. She is genuinely concerned for the feelings and needs of others, and her supportive demeanour fosters strong relationships and a safe, valued classroom environment. Avery listens thoughtfully and is always ready to offer assistance to those who are struggling. Her compassion shines brightly, and her thoughtful words and actions positively impact the lives of her peers.

Adding to her many strengths, Avery brings immense joy to the classroom with her wonderful sense of humour. She possesses a keen understanding of her peers and uses her humour to connect with them daily, brightening their days while maintaining maturity and responsibility in her actions.

Avery’s hard work, kindness, and unwavering commitment to personal growth make her an exceptional student and an outstanding role model for her peers at PNCS. She truly deserves this recognition for her continuous efforts to be better each day.

The school board is pleased to present Avery with the Citizenship Award in recognition of the positive contributions she makes in her school and community.
