Emily Slomp is a grade 9 student at Neerlandia Public Christian School. She was nominated for a Citizenship Award by her teacher, Lise Wruk.
Emily is a responsible, compassionate, and engaged member of her school community. She consistently demonstrates kindness and empathy, proactively offering help and treating everyone with respect. Her willingness to clean up without being asked, whether after P.E. or during events, reflects her genuine sense of responsibility.
Emily is always the first to offer help, set a positive example, and encourage others. Her quiet leadership unites people, fosters inclusivity, and builds a respectful environment. Her integrity and commitment to doing the right thing are truly commendable.
Emily’s respectful demeanor is highly valued. She encourages her peers to share their ideas, creating a comfortable and safe space for collaboration. She contributes thoughtfully to discussions and consistently supports her classmates, both inside and outside the classroom.
