Citizenship Award Winner—Jackson Taylor

June 10th, 2025

Jackson Taylor is a grade 3 student at Neerlandia Public Christian School. He was nominated for a Citizenship Award by his teacher, Cara Corcoran.

Jackson brings a remarkable calming energy and a strong sense of responsibility to his learning environment. When classmates are off-task, he gently guides them back with quiet reminders and by consistently modelling attentive behaviour. He always respects classroom protocols by raising his hand to speak and contributes thoughtful insights to discussions.

Jackson embodies quiet consideration and a genuine desire to support his peers. He is observant and proactively identifies when a classmate needs assistance. Whether it’s discreetly providing a stool for someone who can’t reach the board or offering help in other unnoticed ways, Jackson’s actions demonstrate a deep awareness of the needs of others. He acts without seeking attention and quietly returns to his work.

Demonstrating consistent kindness, Jackson goes out of his way to ensure his classmates have what they need to be successful. If someone is searching for a misplaced item, like a Duotang, Jackson will quietly get up and assist in the search. His thoughtful actions help create a supportive and well-resourced classroom environment for everyone.

The school board is pleased to present Jackson with the Citizenship Award in recognition of the positive contributions he makes in his school and community.

Congratulations Jackson!
