May 19th, 2022

Kobyn Kirchner is a Grade 6 student at Dunstable School. He was nominated for the Citizenship Award by Principal Tammy Tkachuk.

“Kobyn demonstrates responsibility and is a very trustworthy young man. He can be counted on to be on task in the classroom and teachers know if he is given a job to do, he will make sure it gets done,” said Tkachuk. As a member of the school’s Student Leadership Group, he leads by example both in the classroom and on the playground. Kobyn’s teachers and peers know that they can count on him!

Kobyn is always willing to lend a hand as a Kinder Buddy, as a helper on the playground, or by doing tasks within the classroom and around the school. He helps and supports others, and is a favorite helper among the younger students. Kobyn is always volunteering to help out and will often do tasks around the classroom without being asked.

Kobyn has a positive attitude and an amazing ability to always see the good in situations. He takes on every task with joy and enthusiasm. Tkachuk says, “There is never a day that Kobyn comes to school without a smile on his face. He is a bright light in the classroom and around the school.”

The school board is pleased to present Kobyn with the Citizenship Award for recognition of the positive contributions he makes in his school and community. Congratulations!
