Citizenship Award Winner—Logan Vejar

June 14th, 2021

Logan Vejar is a Grade 4 student at Neerlandia Public Christian School. He was nominated for the Citizenship Award by Teacher Kim Sybesma.

Logan is respectful of others and willingly helps those in need. He demonstrates responsibility and those in his school can count on him to follow through and do what he says. Sybesma says, “Logan is an honest student, who plays fair and truthfully tells what happened when asked.”

Logan helps and supports others often. He quickly and willingly jumps up and helps someone out. For example, if someone has a spill, he is the first on the scene to help to clean up. He is a servant-worker; actively bringing joy to others. Logan is a good friend and is well liked by his peers.

Logan comes to school with a positive attitude, saying a happy good morning with a big smile. Even though English is not Logan’s first language, he continues to keep trying and is very proud when he does well in class, giving a quiet little cheer. Sybesma says, “Logan works hard in class, trying his best and willingly takes suggestions to help him.”

The school board is pleased to present Logan with the Citizenship Award for recognition of the positive contributions he makes in his school and community. Congratulations!
