Kristy Bohnet is an Educational Assistant at École Barrhead Elementary School and has been with Pembina Hills School Division for over 7 years.

Kristy’s colleagues are grateful to have her as part of their team. She sees the big educational picture, supporting students, their families and teachers in many ways from words of encouragement or kindness to being positive, always seeing the best in everyone and is always willing to lend a helping hand. She has a wealth of knowledge and as a lifelong learner who holds herself to a high professional standard, making sure to attend many professional development events. She is always on the lookout for resources, strategies and new ideas to try when supporting students. She has become a “go-to” person for different ideas and ways to plan for students, often thinking “outside the box”. 

Her adaptability and vast skill set enable her to address any situation. She is solution-oriented and has a willingness to try anything to be able to push through obstacles.

Kristy is a bright and shining star who truly has her heart in her work.
