Sarah Armstrong receives Citizenship Award

Sarah is a grade 12 student at Vista Virtual School. She was nominated for a Citizenship Award by teacher Joy Trick. 

Sarah consistently demonstrates responsibility in her approach to her studies. As highlighted in her nomination, she proactively engages with her learning, responding promptly to communications and taking the initiative to seek clarification when needed. Her thoughtful and specific questions indicate a commitment to thorough understanding and independent learning. This proactive and responsible approach is a hallmark of a dedicated and engaged student and are essential skills for success in a virtual environment.

Sarah is recognized for being dependable. Her consistent attendance at scheduled online sessions, or proactive communication when rescheduling was necessary, demonstrates a reliable and respectful commitment to her learning and to others. This dependability is a crucial aspect of good citizenship, showing respect for time and commitments.

Sarah also consistently exhibits a positive attitude in all her interactions. She is described as cheerful and polite, contributing to a positive and respectful learning environment.
