Each year, we set aside one week to appreciate the Substitute Teachers who jump to our rescue when our regular staff must be away. But how is one week per year near enough to express our gratitude for the vital role they play in our Division?

Substitute teachers are the essential gears that keep the engine of education moving. They don’t just “watch” a class; they step in, take the wheel and ensure that learning doesn’t stop.

If we only value our substitute teachers during the designated appreciation week, we fail to recognize their contributions properly. Our gratitude should be as constant and reliable as these staff members. True appreciation isn’t a scheduled event once a year.
